Main Topic: Host Alpha Mike talks about an on going movement called, First Amendment Audits. "First Amendment Audits is an Americansocial movement, categorized by its practitioners, known as Auditors, as activismand citizen journalismthat tests constitutional rights;in particular the right to photograph and video record in a public space.Auditors also believe that the movement promotes transparency and open government."
Alpha, talks about the need to train law enforcement on first amendment laws on filming public domain. The training curriculum should included scenario excerise (pass/fail) and readiness drills. Alpha talks about the, who, what, when, where why, and somethings how. Alpha also has some war stories from the 2003 FTAA protest in Miami that caused a lot of lawsuits and how law enforcement should not confuse the two issues.
