- Born Thomas Gaetano Lucchese, Dec 1, 1899; Palermo Sicily
- Tommy, arrived to America in 1911, settling in Manhattan East Harlem section
- As a young man Tommy working in a machine shop had an accident cutting of his right thumb and forefinger
- Tommy would join the neighborhood street gang, 107 street the gang was under the protection of mobster Gaetano "Tom" Reina
- In 1920 Tommy was arrested for grand theft auto, while being processes at the station the Detective noticed Tommy only had three fingers on his right hand
- The nickname was born, when the arrested Detective call him, "Three Fingers Brown" after MLB baseball player Mordecai Brown, that pitched with three fingers.
- Tommy would be sentenced to 3 years, 9 months and was released after 13 months, Tommy returned to the neighborhood as a mobster under Gaetano Reina
- Tommy, became friends with Charles Luciano, Frank Costello, and Meyer Lansky and would plan with them a complete take over
- Tommy was part of, Joe The Boss Masseria Family under Reina and Gaetano Gagliano
- Tommy would work directly for Salvatore Maranzano and set him up for death. This would be the beginning of Cosa Nostra in America
- In 1931 the new Cosa Nostra was born along with the Commission
- 1946 Underboss of the Gagliano Family would attend the Havana conference meeting of all Cosa Nostra Families in America
- Tommy developed a relationship with Louis Buchalter and control the garment district in New York.
- In 1951 Gagliano died of natural causes placing Tommy Lucchese as the new boss
- The family's name was changed from Gagliano to Lucchese
- Tommy built a relationship with Carlo Gambino and Vito Genovese
- Tommy daughter would marry Carlo Gambino's son
- On July 13, 1967 Tommy Lucchese died of a brain tumor at the age of 67.
